The 50th anniversary of the Rzeszow festival is fast approaching, this July.
The Krakowiak Polish Dancers are planning to return to Rzeszów after a hiatus of ten years, but we need your help.
We are reaching out to you for your financial support. While the group will pay for each member’s festival attendance fee, our finances will be considerably strained. We no longer have a steady income from Bingo as in prior years.
There are some young members who hope to attend but have a financial hardship. We would like to subsidize their airline tickets with your support.
Anyone who has been to a Rzeszów festival knows it is an incredible experience - often a once-in-a-lifetime one! We were the only group from North America to attend the first festival in 1969, paving the way for other groups from the US and Canada in the years to come. Since 2008, however, we have not attended, lacking enough members willing and able to attend. This year we have the members who want to go, but not enough cash.
It just wouldn't be right if Krakowiak Boston wasn't there for the 50th anniversary and we're doing everything we can to make it happen. Can you help?
